Nyaru Menteng Aboretum is a part of national park of tanjung putting located at Pangkalan Bun, Nyaru Menteng Aboretum located on the east side of Tjilik Riwut street, Tumbang Tahai Village, Bukit Batu District, Palangka Raya Central Borneo Indonesia. This place is used to captive center for orangutan and the other animals. At first this place is used to be Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Project, that the activity to save orangutan and primates and other protected animals. This forest also functions as a place to live for several other wild animals such as Sun Bear, Monkeys, Beo birds, Cucak rowo birds, monitor lizard. More than 36 kinda flora in this forest, so not wrong if the nyaru menteng arboretum is one of the educational attractions that need to be visited. In addition to the above activities, visiting tourist will also get an education on orangutan conservation, the introduction of peat swamp ecosystems, and others.

            Little tips for you, if you want to visit and withness orangutans, you should come on holidays becausein addition to the captive area holidays its not opened. You should visit starting in the morning because there are no hotel around this place.

Sei gohong tourism Village is a village that is one of the most popular tourist destinations in palangkara city. According to the name Sei gohong which is means river Gohong , the connection between the village and sei gohong which is on the edge of the settlement is a source of live for the people who mostly work as farmers or fishermen. A water of the river is unique black and red stone like tea is a representative of peat water which is believed to have special properties because it is produced from various roots in Bumi Tambun Bungai which is reach in efficacious properties.  River flow that is quite heavy is an interesting to take a bath, playing with friend or family feeling the refreshing cold water releases all saturation and fatigue of the mind.
